From the Treasurer

At St Peter’s our expenses are of the order of €8000 per month. This includes the Chaplain's stipend and related costs, payment of a youth worker and cleaner, running costs for the Church, Church Centre and associated activites, administration, the quota which is due to the Diocese of Europe and donations to external missions, charities and individuals in needy situations.

Some members of St Peter’s pledge to support the church by a regular financial commitment in the form of a monthly or quarterly standing order. This is the preferred method of giving, since it allows the church to know how much money is regularly coming in. At the moment the amount received by standing order is still lower than the church's regular outgoings and although the difference between income and expenditure is to a large extent made up by the Sunday collections, hiring out the Church Centre and proceeds from the Kermesse, it would be a great relief to know that our regular pledged income were of the order of our regular expenses.Therefore if you give by cash or cheque when you are in church on a Sunday, please would you consider taking out a standing order, so that St Peter’s knows that it will benefit from your regular giving and plan God's work in Chantilly accordingly. You will also benefit from this regular giving by a reduction in your French tax bill!
